About Greenwood Manor Inn
and it's History
 |
Greenwood Manor Inn was built in 1870 as a private residence by Philander Tolman who named it "Greenwood Villa". Philander, his wife Laura, and their six children lived in the home for over 50 years. The home passed through several owners before being renovated and converted into a Bed & Breakfast in the late 1980's. The Inn operated as the "Tolman House Inn" |
until the spring of 2000 when it changed ownership and re-opened as Greenwood Manor Inn.The 7 guest rooms and 2 suites, decorated with antiques and plush furnishings, are located in the converted carriage house. Each of our guest rooms has a private bath. Views of the perennial gardens, fields and mountains are yours from every room. One hundred and eight wonderful acres surrounding the inn are here to explore. Take a leisurely stroll through the perennial gardens, sit along the banks of Bear River, or take a hike up our wooded hillside to view Long Lake. We have various lawn games for your enjoyment or just spend a relaxing evening on our spacious deck or on our hammock under the tree. Canoes are available for guest use at the near-by lakes. |

Once the ice house, our recently renovated den features a crackling fireplace during frosty days and comfortable furnishings for your relaxation or quiet conversation. Enjoy our enclosed sunporch, perfect for curling up to read a book on a lazy afternoon. A small conference room is also available for meetings or seminars for up to 10 people.
